High-Performance Screen-Printed OECT-Inspired with Encased Cassette Based on PEDOT:GO for Sensitive and Specific Electrochemical Aptasensing of Aβ-42 in Management of Alzheimer's Disease
Recently, substantial interest has emerged in developing point-of-care diagnostic devices for Alzheimer's disease (AD), a progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the accumulation of beta-amyloid (Aβ1-42) peptides that act as critical biomarkers for early detection. In response to the growing demand for…

A signal-locked clamped hybridization chain reaction nanoamplifier for rapid and highly sensitive analysis of Aβ42
Amyloid-beta 42 (Aβ42) is a core biomarker associated with Alzheimer's disease (AD), but accurate quantification of low-abundance plasma Aβ42 remains challenging because of matrix interference, limited assay sensitivity, and time-consuming procedures in conventional methods. Herein, we developed an enzyme-free…

Antibodies and aptamers as affinity ligands for exosome isolation, detection, and targeted delivery: A review
Exosomes, key mediators of intercellular communication, are emerging as promising tools for disease diagnosis and therapy. Realizing this potential depends on technologies that can isolate, detect, and deliver exosomes with high specificity and efficiency. Affinity-based strategies that exploit the molecular…

Steric hindrance effect synergizing hole-trapping technique: High-Stability and high-accuracy Si/CdS n-n heterojunction photoelectrochemical biosensing of amyloid-β42
Due to rapid carrier recombination and photodegradation, cadmium sulfide (CdS), an n-type semiconductor photosensitive material, has a low utilization efficiency that restricts its use in biosensing. A synergistic hole-trapping approach utilizing steric hindrance effects is proposed in this paper. First, chemical bath…

Aptamer-Based Platforms for Human Aging Biomarkers: Multiplexed Proteomics, Biosensors and Translational Perspectives
Aptamer-based multiplexed proteomic platforms, especially the SOMAmer-based SomaScan assay, are widely used for large-scale discovery of circulating biomarkers relevant to human aging. This review summarizes 42 original research articles published from 2020 through 2026 in which aptamers or aptamer-derived biosensors…

A bioelectronic interface for continuous neuroinflammation monitoring and neuromodulation in Parkinson's disease model
Neuroinflammation is increasingly recognized as a critical driver in the onset and progression of Parkinson's disease (PD), yet technologies capable of continuously tracking neuroinflammatory dynamics in vivo remain limited. Here, we report an implantable bioelectronic interface that integrates multiplexed aptamer…

Label-free electrochemical aptasensor for sensitive and selective recognition of N(6)-Methyladenosine: Applicability in human urine
The specific and accurate detection of ultra-low levels of N6-methyladenosine (m6A) in biological samples holds great potential in the clinical diagnosis of various cancer types and neurodegenerative diseases. In this study, a cost-effective, label-free electrochemical aptasensor was developed by self-assembling a…

Development of an RNA aptamer as a therapeutic agent for synucleinopathies
The aggregation of α-synuclein (αSyn), a 140-mer protein, has been implicated in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease, multiple system atrophy, and dementia with Lewy bodies. KTKEGV pseudo-repeats (KRs) in the sequence of αSyn are key mediators of its prion-like propagation and neurodegeneration. Despite the…

Aptamer-Targeted PrPC Drives Colorectal Cancer Metastasis via a LYN-STAT3 Complex and Enables Liquid Biopsy Detection
Colorectal cancer (CRC) poses a significant global health challenge, highlighting the need for better diagnostic tools and molecular targets. Compared to traditional antibodies, aptamers, which are single-stranded oligonucleotides with high affinity and low immunogenicity, offer an ideal platform for discovering novel…

Radical‐Mediated In Situ Fluorescence Dye Deposition: A Simple Interfacial Signal Amplification Reaction for Ultrasensitive Immunoassay on Barcode Beads
Ultrasensitive detection of low-abundance protein biomarkers is crucial for early disease diagnosis but remains challenging for the conventional barcode beads-based suspension chip platform due to the limited detection sensitivity. Here, we report a conceptually novel reaction termed "radical-mediated in situ…

Screening molecular recognition element-based SWCNT optical sensors for the inflammatory cytokine TNF-α
TNF-α (Tumor Necrosis Factor) is a proinflammatory cytokine that amplifies inflammatory response and promotes leukocyte recruitment. TNF-α is primarily produced by activated macrophages, among others, in response to infection, inflammation, or tissue damage. Given its central role in normal and abnormal immune…

A label-free electrochemical aptasensor enables ultrasensitive and specific detection of neurofilament light
Plasma neurofilament light chain (NfL) has been identified as a promising early-stage Alzheimer's disease (AD) biomarker, reflecting neuroaxonal degeneration at preclinical stages. However, its extremely low concentration in blood presents a major analytical challenge. Although single-molecule array (Simoa) assays…

Determination of Small-Sized α-Synuclein Oligomers Using Solid-State Nanopore Assisted with Circular Single-Stranded DNA Frame
Misfolded α-synuclein (αS) is significantly associated with the onset and progression of Parkinson's disease (PD), a critical neurodegenerative disorder. In particular, small-sized aggregated αS oligomers are more cytotoxic than mature amyloid-type aggregates and are essential inducers of PD. Solid-state nanopores,…
How this list is built · 这份榜单怎么来的
Sources. PubMed, OpenAlex and bioRxiv are polled daily for aptamer-related publications; records are de-duplicated by DOI.
Topic filter. A paper enters this list when its title or abstract matches any of: Alzheimer*, Parkinson*, amyloid, tau protein, Huntington*, amyotrophic, neurodegenerat*, prion, synuclein, neurofibrillar*, dementia, CNS (SQLite FTS5, case-insensitive, * is a prefix wildcard). A paper can belong to several topics.
Ranking. composite = 0.45×log(IF) + 0.35×log(citation velocity) + 0.10×social + 0.10×recency, scaled to 100. Citation velocity is citations per day since publication, so a recent paper accruing citations quickly can outrank an older one with a larger total. The recency term decays linearly to zero at 30 days, so anything older than a month is ranked on impact and citation velocity alone — this list therefore tilts towards recent work by design.
What this is not. The ranking is computed from metadata — journal impact factor, citation counts, recency — not from reading the papers. It is a triage aid for deciding what to read, not a quality judgement or a substitute for a systematic review. Impact factor is missing for some venues (preprints in particular) and those papers score lower than their content may deserve.
